These terms apply to memberships, personal training packages, class passes, trials and other training services provided by Delts Gym. By purchasing a service or attending a session, you agree to these terms. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
Delts Gym provides coach-led personal training, small-group personal training and group exercise classes.
Personal training sessions are normally delivered in a shared one-to-two format unless you have purchased a specific one-to-one personal training package.
Your sessions may be delivered by Delts GYM suitably qualified member of the Delts Gym coaching team. Purchasing a standard PT package does not guarantee that Rupert will personally deliver every session.
PT sessions provide focused and progressive training adapted to the participants. Classes provide varied, full-body group training and are less individually tailored than PT sessions.
We cannot guarantee a particular coach, timetable, class, session time or number of sessions on every day of the week.
Current packages, memberships and prices are displayed through TeamUp and may also be requested from Delts Gym or viewed at deltsgym.com.
Different rates may be offered for longer commitments, promotional offers or bespoke arrangements. Any important conditions attached to an offer will be explained before purchase.
PT packs, class passes and trials are purchased as one-off products. They do not currently renew automatically unless this is clearly stated and expressly agreed when purchasing.
The validity and expiry date of each pack will be shown on TeamUp or confirmed at the point of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, PT packages should normally be used within six weeks.
Unused sessions expire at the end of the applicable validity period unless Delts Gym agrees to an extension because of exceptional circumstances.
Rolling memberships have an initial minimum term of three months unless a different minimum term is clearly stated when joining.
After the minimum term, the membership continues monthly until cancelled by either party.
Members must provide at least 30 days’ written notice to cancel. Notice should be emailed to info@deltsgym.com. Payments falling due during the notice period remain payable, and membership access will continue during that period.
Cancelling a Direct Debit does not itself cancel the membership or remove any outstanding payment obligation.
Memberships and packages are personal to the named member and cannot be transferred or shared without written permission from Delts Gym.
Members may request to move between PT memberships, class-only memberships or other available services.
Any change is subject to availability, the applicable price, the member’s minimum term and reasonable notice.
At our discretion, unused PT or class credit may sometimes be converted into another Delts Gym service. There is no automatic right to a conversion, cash refund or exchange unless required by law.
Sessions must be booked through TeamUp or another booking method approved by Delts Gym.
Drop-ins may be accepted when space is available but are not guaranteed.
Please arrive on time. If you arrive late, the session will normally still finish at its scheduled time. Entry may be refused when late arrival would be unsafe or significantly disrupt other members.
Bookings are subject to coach, venue and equipment availability. Outdoor sessions may also be affected by weather.
The following minimum cancellation periods apply:
A session cancelled after the relevant deadline, or missed without notice, will normally be deducted from the member’s package or treated as used.
Where a membership does not use session credits, Delts Gym may restrict future bookings or introduce a reasonable late-cancellation or no-show charge for repeated missed bookings. Any charge will be communicated before it is applied.
We recognise that genuine emergencies and exceptional circumstances occur. Members should contact Delts Gym as soon as possible. A session credit or make-up session may be offered at our discretion but cannot be guaranteed.
Delts Gym may occasionally need to change or cancel a session because of coach illness, adverse weather, facility problems, low attendance or another circumstance outside our reasonable control.
Where we cancel a prepaid session, we will normally offer a replacement booking, return the session credit or provide another reasonable remedy.
We are not responsible for indirect losses, travel costs, childcare costs or other expenses resulting from a timetable or coach change, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Payments for trials, packs and memberships are generally non-refundable once the applicable cancellation period has ended and Delts Gym remains able to provide the purchased service.
This does not affect any refund, repeat-performance, price-reduction or cancellation rights provided by UK consumer law.
If you purchase a membership or package online, by telephone or away from our premises, you will normally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning on the day after the contract is made.
If you ask us to begin providing services during this 14-day period and subsequently cancel, we may deduct a reasonable amount for services already supplied. If the purchased service has been fully delivered following your express request, your cancellation right may be affected as permitted by law.
In addition, Delts Gym offers a seven-day satisfaction guarantee for new members. If you notify us in writing within seven days of joining, we will refund the amount paid, less the reasonable value of any sessions or services already used. Where statutory rights provide greater protection, those statutory rights will apply.
Before training, you must disclose any injury, pregnancy, medical condition, medication or other health matter that may reasonably affect your ability to exercise safely.
You must tell your coach if your health changes or if you experience pain, dizziness, unusual shortness of breath or other concerning symptoms.
Delts Gym may ask you to obtain medical clearance before participating where we reasonably believe this is necessary for your safety. We may modify or decline an exercise or session if we consider participation unsafe.
Members remain responsible for working within their abilities, following coaching instructions and informing the coach when an exercise feels unsuitable.
Disclosure of a condition does not necessarily prevent someone from training. It allows the coaching team to make appropriate decisions and adaptations.
Where a member cannot train because of a significant injury, illness, pregnancy-related condition or medical treatment, Delts Gym may agree to freeze or extend a membership or package.
We may request reasonable supporting information where necessary. Any health information will be handled confidentially and only used for legitimate safety or membership-administration purposes.
Freezes are not normally backdated and should be requested as soon as reasonably possible.
The length and terms of a freeze will be confirmed in writing. A freeze is not automatically a cash refund.
Exercise involves an unavoidable risk of discomfort, strain or injury. Members agree to follow reasonable coaching and safety instructions and not deliberately train beyond their known limits.
Delts Gym will take reasonable care in delivering its services and maintaining a safe training environment.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits Delts Gym’s liability for:
Delts Gym is not responsible for an injury caused by a member ignoring reasonable instructions, deliberately misusing equipment, withholding relevant health information or acting recklessly, to the extent permitted by law.
Members may be responsible for the reasonable cost of damage they deliberately cause or cause through negligent misuse of equipment or facilities.
Members aged 16 or 17 require consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Children under 16 may only participate in an approved junior session, agreed personal training arrangement or another activity specifically authorised by Delts Gym.
The required level of parental supervision will depend on the child’s age, the session and the arrangements confirmed by Delts Gym. A parent or guardian must provide accurate emergency and medical information.
Children must not use the gym or its equipment unsupervised unless this has been expressly approved as part of a structured Delts Gym session.
Members must:
Serious or repeated misconduct may result in a booking being refused, suspension or termination of membership.
Where we terminate for serious or repeated misconduct, any decision concerning unused prepaid services will take account of the circumstances, services already supplied and any reasonable losses incurred. Nothing in this section affects statutory rights.
Members are responsible for their own belongings. Delts Gym is not responsible for loss, theft or damage unless caused by our negligence or where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Lost property will normally be retained for two weeks. After this period it may be donated, recycled or disposed of.
Subject to the current referral offer:
A referral is successful once the new member has completed and paid for the qualifying purchase.
Referral credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and may have an expiry date. Delts Gym may amend, suspend or withdraw a referral promotion for future referrals. Existing rewards already earned will be honoured.
Offers cannot normally be combined unless expressly agreed.
We may change prices, opening arrangements, session formats, coaches or timetables where reasonably necessary.
Members will receive reasonable advance notice of a recurring membership price increase—normally at least 30 days.
If a material price increase is due to take effect during a member’s minimum term, the member may contact us to discuss available options. Where required by law or fairness, the member will be allowed to cancel without an additional termination charge before the increase takes effect.
A timetable alteration or coach substitution does not automatically entitle a member to a refund, provided we continue to offer a reasonably comparable service.
Members are responsible for keeping their payment details current and paying fees on time.
If a payment fails, we may contact the member, restrict future bookings and retry or request payment. Any administrative charge must reflect reasonable costs and will be communicated before being applied.
Delts Gym may suspend access while genuinely overdue amounts remain unpaid.
We use members’ personal information to administer memberships, manage bookings, deliver training safely and communicate important service information.
Health information will be handled with additional care. Marketing communications will only be sent where permitted, and members can opt out of marketing at any time.
Photography or video for marketing purposes will require appropriate consent. Consent to marketing photography is not a condition of membership.
Further information should be provided in the Delts Gym Privacy Notice.
If you are unhappy with any aspect of the service, please contact us promptly so that we have a fair opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
Complaints should be emailed to:
We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and provide a full response within a reasonable period.
We may make reasonable changes to these terms to reflect changes in the law, safety requirements, our facilities or the way services are delivered.
Members will be given reasonable notice of any change that materially affects their rights or obligations.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Members retain the right to bring proceedings in any UK court available to them under applicable consumer law.
